LEARNING REFLECTION:
1. What did you know about this week’s topics before this week?
- Midterm AMA
- Ask Prof. Smith anything!
- Studio Discussion 2
- Work on Checkpoint 2! In this Checkpoint, we will complete a full UCD loop for our projects. We will need to create a low-fidelity prototype and receive user feedback.
2. Comparing what you know now to what you knew before, name at least two
important things that you learned this week.
- Midterm AMA
- It’s never too late to get started in a field you’re interested in
- Studio Discussion 2 / Information and Interaction Design I Recap
- It’s called a typeface, not a font. Both exist, but the typeface is normally what people refer to as the font. The typeface is the design of the letterform and the font is the delivery mechanism for the typeface (Prof. Smith)
3. How can you apply what you learned to your Semester Project or beyond? Put
differently, what rule(s) can you create for yourself so that you can benefit from
this knowledge later?
- I will make sure that our group is consistent with our fonts! We will keep it two font families max, with one being a serif font family and the other a sans-serif font family. We can play around with the typefaces and have some be bold, italics, black, etc, but we will keep our design to only including two font families max.
4. Describe what you know about next week’s topics in a sentence or two.
- No class
- Chill time? Work on semester project time?
- Getting Started with Javascript
- Javascript is what adds functionality to your webpage. It makes websites interactive and fun.
ACCOUNTABILITY QUESTIONS:
1. What tasks did you give yourself in last week’s answer to Accountability
Question #4?
- Task 1: Continue practicing stopping work by 10:30PM every night. By getting ahead on work this weekend, there should be no good reason for me to stay up working past 10:30PM. I think that I’ll make good progress on this in this coming week! | In Progress
