Big.
Vast.
Scary.
So much we don't yet know, yet so much there is to learn
But maybe we're not meant to learn
Maybe we think it's our duty to learn
But I think that's rather entitled.
The universe was not created for us
We happen to exist because of it
The universe birthed us
The universe gave us life
The universe said: "I will let you be here, but do not think it is your right"
I find that we often think it is our right
The earliest astronomers knew so little
Their biggest worry, creating the tools to learn more
But then what?
And honestly, so what?
I think it is our duty to do well in the world
