What are the types of STEAM classes your students have taken before?

Setting Objectives

• “after this session, students will be able to __”
• Focus on actions participants take rather than on things they will know or feel
• Start with strong action verbs so your objectives are clear! (”to understand’)
• Only set the number of objectives you can fit

Students are working on year-long study of trees and nature, documenting how trees change over the years, seeing how plant life is like in different places. A greenhouse can capture things that an outside world cannot. Workshop is pretty experiential. Students have talked about what a greenhouse is, but most have never been one

After this workshop, students will be able to…measure a tree and calculate the amount of carbon they observe
