Hey there friends + fam! I'm here to tell you all about a new project I'm working on: Filling The Gap!

FTG is a tutoring organization that pairs gap year students and students taking their college classes virtually with NYC K-12 students seeking tutors for remote learning. FTG was started by a couple of graduates from LaGuardia and myself, the majority of the team all taking gap years. We offer tutoring in all subjects, including AP classes, languages, and various electives, as well as SAT/ACT and SHSAT preparation and college application support. We also offer high-level tutoring in visual arts, dance, theater, and music, as many of our tutors are LaGuardia grads. The tutoring is paid, but we offer financial aid upon request and are committed to making the tutoring affordable to everyone. We also offer both remote and in-person tutoring.

We have over 200+ tutors in our incredible network who are eager to begin working with K-12 students. If you or someone you know is interested in hiring one of our tutors this year, please share the word on FTG!

This is the link to Filling The Gap's website: (https://www.fillingthegapnyc.com/), and this is the form for families to fill out if they are interested in hiring one of our tutors: (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EcSyH8MarA_MTtmokdrTtgS0XkBNqInezp0WUrDpvvY/edit).

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. Thank you for the support!

Izzy is working on a new project with a couple of her friends from LaGuardia called Filling The Gap!

FTG is a tutoring organization that pairs gap year students and students taking college classes virtually with NYC K-12 students in need of tutors for remote learning. FTG was started entirely by LaGuardia graduates taking gap years/semester online, all 17 or 18 years old. FTG offers tutoring in all subjects, including AP classes, languages, and various electives, as well as SAT/ACT and SHSAT preparation and college application support. FTG also provides high-level tutoring in visual arts, dance, theater, and music, as many of the tutors are LaGuardia graduates. The tutoring is paid, however FTG offers financial aid upon request and is committed to making the tutoring affordable to everyone. FTG also offers both remote and in-person tutoring.

This is a really great initiative! So creative, especially in this time. Help Izzy and her friends spread the word about FTG by checking out their website https://www.fillingthegapnyc.com/. If you are interested in hiring one of their tutors, this is the form to fill out: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EcSyH8MarA_MTtmokdrTtgS0XkBNqInezp0WUrDpvvY/edit.

If you have any questions, FTG can be reached at [email protected]. Spread the word! Go FTG!
