<aside> 🤳 Each member of the class will create an Instagram account (separate from your own account, if you have one) documenting your experiences and observations of life at Barnard or Columbia (or other school/university) through the lens of gender, sexuality, and school. Try to use both a combination of posts and stories to document your observations, noticings, wonderings, thoughts, memes, etc. The objective here is to try to tell as much of a visual narrative through photos and commentary in the caption about what you are noticing about gender and sexuality at Barnard or Columbia (or other school/university) through an intersectional, feminist, queer, and/or trans lens. You can choose to document yourself through selfies (see #365feministselfie for inspiration); through your own group of friends; and/or through other groups, communities, clubs, and events you observe on campus. Instagram stories can also do the same work here; please be mindful that using a variety of posts and stories will be key for documenting the expressive range of your digital ethnography.
