I first want to say: thank you all SO MUCH for joining me on my journey thus far. I feel so at the beginning of my everything (career, life, etc) and I am so grateful for the support I already have from every single one of you. I consider my journey just as much my own as it is all of yours. Thank you for being here 🙏
Now is definitely a crazy time to enter into adulthood, but I’m working on being as in the moment as possible. I’m slowly learning the importance of patience. I’m letting myself mess up. I’m letting go of my toxic perfectionist attitude and embracing failure.
I’m walking (dancing?!) into 18 knowing that it’s not going to be perfect, and being grateful for that. I’m excited for whatever this year has to bring, massive failures and all. I’m trusting that I’ll figure it out as I go. You will too.

Piece I wrote for @collective.casa last week 💓💓 This is a poem regarding my experience with a boy in my astronomy class that I took last summer. It was originally a slam poem that I edited to retain as much as my voice and power when read. This happened just about a year ago, yet I still think about it nearly everyday. Sometimes I can’t even believe that this actually happened, but it unfortunately did. NEVER LET ANYONE (ANY BOY) TELL YOU THAT THEY’RE SMARTER THAN YOU. DON’T LET NUMBERS DEFINE YOU. Shared my thoughts last month w @forbes regarding the start of my freshman year at @barnardcollege 😅 Since this article came out, Barnard has stayed strong 💪 & we will still be on campus! It’s still unclear whether we’ll have access to everything on @columbia’s campus like we normally do, but I’m out here just hoping for the best and being optimistic about whatever the situation is when we get on campus. ALSO: we found out our dorms and mine is SO nice (we got mad windows) so we’re hype! See you on September 1st, Ms. Barnard! ✨💙👋🙏🙈📝
